FOR LIFELONG LEARNING

Our vision
Actively contributing to the promotion of lifelong learning that is accessible, equitable, and sustainable, serving human development, social cohesion, and inclusion, by supporting the efforts of countries across the continent through partnerships, capacity building, advocacy, as well as networking and knowledge sharing among stakeholders engaged in lifelong learning.
Our strategy
The African Foundation for Lifelong Learning is implementing an ambitious strategy aimed at sustainably strengthening lifelong learning systems across Africa. It is built on an inclusive, collaborative, and innovative approach focused on skills development, educational governance, and equitable access to knowledge.
Our six strategic pillars guide all of our actions:
-
Support for lifelong learning policies and governance mechanisms
-
Capacity building for lifelong learning stakeholders and institutions
-
Innovation, digitalization, and accessibility of learning
-
Partnerships, knowledge sharing, and resource mobilization
-
Advocacy and promotion of lifelong learning
-
Governance, monitoring, and evaluation
As part of its mission to promote lifelong learning, the African Foundation for Lifelong Learning implements a three-year action plan aligned with these strategic pillars.
This plan aims to translate our strategic orientations into concrete, measurable, and sustainable initiatives, serving learners, institutions, and communities across Africa.
